It was an overcast day while I drove down a small road in Indiana traveling to my families summer home. I noticed a large brick building being taken over by ivy, and couldn't help my curiosity to explore. Over the past couple of years I have become more and more fascinated by the relationship between people and their objects. What we once saw as value we now toss away as garbage. I have found myself craving exploration through my lens. In my work I try to capture the moment between abandonment and reclamation. I am constantly inspired by artists such as Andrew Moore, Brian Ulrich, and Alejandra Laviada. Their work takes on a documentary style.
