Lynn With Fox comes from Susan Worsham's series, Some Fox Trails In Virginia. The work, which exudes qualities and symbols derived from the painting world, is, as Worsham believes, "an metaphorical map" in which she revisits her childhood through visiting and photographing familiar places and people. Although she traveled to her childhood home in Virginia to take care of her mother, Some Fox Trails In Virginia is full of nativity, new life, and bursts of color from the fruit of her still-life work. Throughout the series, I enjoy the shift between the new life of her old companions with their new lives families to objects and settings that hold a history of a past life. By using soft and beautiful light, each photograph has the ability to convey concepts and symbols representing a life span -- birth, death, and selected history of a life.
