Project: The Front Porch

The idea of private vs public space is one that has always interested me. In answering the question, "Is there an in-between with both types of space," I thought of the front porch. It is the beginning of private space, the entrance to one's home, but is still public. I want to look at how people use their front porches as a space themselves. What happens at night? On Holidays? In looking at all of these things in hopes of answering my questions, I will be spending time photographing these spaces prolifically in search of these answers.
