The photograph I have selected shows the beginning of a semester long project entitled Dreams. In this series I wanted to break away from the minimalist cityscapes which I have been photographing for the last two years. I eschew to photograph in the surrealist ideals which are commonly associated with dreams. Instead, I am shooting in my beloved modernist style. These photographs focus around the ideas of fantasies, reoccurring dreams and nightmares. The photographs will be aesthetically pleasing as well as physiologically loaded. While appearing to be normal at first glance, upon extended viewing, they will show emotion and character through my photographic style.
